Did you and your breed of choice match up????
For those who don’t know what I’m talking about here are a few breed selectors:

I keep getting Bouvier des Flandres, German Shepherds (I did have one when i was a kid…) Briards, Rottweilers, Belgians, Anatolian Shepherd dogs, & Giant Schnauzers
All animals I greatly admire but – yikes!

I took one that I saw Chetco post a while ago, it was this one;

And although the Chessie was a bit further down the list, the Borzoi and Irish Wolfhound were picked as 1 and 2, and aside from the chessie, they are my other two favorite breeds.
I’d say it did a pretty good job overall. It breaks down the scores for each breed.

I decided to take the tests you listed.
For the first one-Borzoi 98%, Chesapeake Bay Retriever 97%, Irish Wolfhound 93%, Labrador 93% (there were a bunch in between these, but I looked to find my favorites and that’s what their rankings were at)
Second one-(this one took forever to load each time i hit the continue button) Told me my ideal breed is a German Short-Haired Pointer
Last one-Giant Schnauzer was first, followed by Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and Irish water Spaniel.
At least it kept me busy for about a half hour (mostly thanks to the Pukeanuba one, lol)

yes.. although my breed was not in the “top ten” selected.. it is about a 95% match..

I took the Discovery one and my Chinese Crested was in my list at a 97%

yea i took those for the hell of it also took one that test what breed i would be if i was a dog …matched everytime to American Pit Bull Terrier

No, I know what I like and can live with in a dog, having worked with all different breeds and mixes for thirty years, I don’t need some pencil pusher generated “selecter” to tell me what I like!

I have a few favorite breeds (that I’ve owned) and I’ve only gotten matched up with one once.

Yep! Mine was
1. German Shorthaired Pointer 99% match
2. German Shepherd Dog 98% match
Pretty good i think – I have a GSD, so my number 2 best fit

I just took the eukanuba one for the fun of it and it came back with a mini schnauzer (sp??) which I would never get lol the 4th choice was a Chihuahua which is my all time favorite! lol I think I have taken the one at discovery before, but I cannot remember what the results were

Dammit, I was 96% for a weimeraner?! Lab didn’t even pop up! Oh well… I stand by my choice! =)

I have never taken one before, but I will take one and see what I match up with, and how close it is to my dogs : )

I got : (along with a bunch of breeds in between)
98% with Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Dalmation, both breeds I would not have considered, interesting..
97% Doberman which would be a possibilty
96% with a Aus. SHepherd.. I do have a Aus. Shepherd cross, although I didn’t shoose her, she chose me
Finally German Shepherd at 96% so I suppose I am not that far off

Hmmmm…I doubt American Bulldog is even on the list, but anyhow for the animal.discovery I got:
97% Nova Scotia Duck Trolling Retriever (I recently heard of this breed…a few months ago would have been completely baffled)
96% Boxer
96% GSP
Love my American Bulldog
also love my mutt Boxer/Pit/Lab mix
So…NO…they didn’t really get it quite accurate…or maybe it means I wasn’t accurate…:D
I think we made excellent decisions on both of our dogs
Edit: I decided to try out the 3rd one today and I got Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, and English Setter all 88%. hmmmm…still love my dogs, but I have always wanted a lab ;D

Ah, I took ‘em just for the heck of it just now.
For the first one the AmStaff had a percentage of 98.
And for the third one my first match was an AmStaff and second one was Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
Didn’t take the second quiz, because of something somebody else said about it being slow =]
So, even though I didn’t take one before getting my Pitties, I guess I have a pretty good idea of what is right for me and my family =] ::pats herself on the back::

we match, what can I say, all dogs love me…..and I love all breeds, but the ones above are my faves of all times.
especially my show babies, Min. Schnauzers
edit I am back, your first site paired me with Min. Schnauzer 99%, Akita 97%, Newfoundland 99%, Rotti’s at a 95%, it came up with 65 choices for me to choose from.

I took the one @ animal.discovery and was a 96% for a Lab. Yay! I was a 100% match for an Irish Setter. That’s odd. I’ve never even considered that breed before.

Mine was: Golden retriever (what I have!!…Yikes w/smiles!)

Note: LOVE those Newfoundlands! I did take a test about 20 years ago, and the winner at that time was a “Cocker Spaniel”……………..go figure. Not my choice by any range now, however, very cute dogs!!
